BeFit With a Chocolate PB and J Protein Smoothie
One of my favorite cheat meal treats is a good old fashioned milkshake. For all of my Texas peeps and/or people that have been blessed enough to visit Texas, we all know the power of the Whataburger shake! But that power is also a not-so-healthy choice so moderation is key!
Like with most foods you crave, there is always a healthier version that can both keep you focused on your goals and satisfy your palate. So, this past Friday night when I was debating getting up from my couch and heading around the corner to Whataburger for a chocolate shake, I ultimately ended up heading to my kitchen and coming up with my own, and boy was it good!
Of course I couldn’t keep it all to myself. Take a look below!
Chocolate Peanut Butter and Jelly Protein Smoothie
What You Need:
¼ cup of nut butter of your choosing
1 scoop of Be Fit Chocolate Protein Powder
1 tsp of rolled oats
1 banana cut up in pieces (I prefer frozen)
1 tsp of honey
1 tsp of flax seeds
½ cup of strawberries
2 cups of almond milk or your “milk” of choice
What You Do:
1. Blend the oats and flax to a powder
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. You can add additional milk if you want to thin it out. I prefer this particular smoothie thick.
3. Drink ASAP, this is definitely not a smoothie you want to save for later.
