#FitChicks: Train In Chalk

Last week, I did some digging and found a running shoe that would be the best option for anyone looking to pound the pavement. But, this week our partner in crime at CNK Daily decided to showcase a shoe best fit for you gym rats. While we're all about getting in cardio with a good run, if you're anything like me, the gym is where I find my most productive workout sessions so, having a shoe that helps maximize my time training is a must.

Now, Nike is taking its training footwear to a whole new level with the introduction of the brand new Free Trainer 1.0. An evolution of Nike’s Free-inspired Hyperfeel combined with the aesthetic cues of the MetCon, the new trainer is specifically designed to allow you to grip the ground thanks to a zero-millimeter offset and the most articulated sole of any Free Trainer to date. Built with a tough, yet lightweight, rubber sole that wraps up around the edges of your foot for an agile grip on whatever surface you choose to train on.

For those of you ladies who are looking for something easy on the joints (my knees are starting to crack like popcorn, folks) and helpful with balance, the Free Trainer 1.0 is the perfect fit as it allows your feet do the stabilizing, just like they’re meant to - not your knees. Win and win.

However, no great thing is without its drawbacks and, for us, the Free Trainer 1.0 only has one: it only comes in Men's sizes. But, never fear - Nike is releasing the shoe in sizes starting a 6 which would easily work for a woman with size 7 feet. Debuting in a Black/Volt-White “Chalk for Your Feet” make-up, the Free Trainer 1.0 is available now for $150 USD.

So, will you train in chalk? Let us know after the jump.
