Races
It’s that time of year again for expert and novice runners to start training. Whether you're using the Hal Higdon training plan, Nike Run Club training plan or doing a couch to 5k with your local running club.
The next question is, what race are you training for? Haven’t decided? Let me offer some suggestions.
ZOOMA Women’s Race Series Texas - Lost Pines March 8-9, 2019 This race is geared to provide positive interaction and empowerment for female runners. (Don’t worry if you have a male running partner he is welcome also). The ZOOMA advertisement challenged you to imagine a powerful sea of women on the move, well let me say you will not believe the energy in the atmosphere at this event. ZOOMA Austin is more than a race it was a women’s empowerment weekend.
I had the pleasure of running this race in 2018 and I’m running it again this year. What's new for ZOOMA 2019? A new course; a Lost Pine Challenge with a 5k on Friday night and a Texas Two Step Challenge medal if you also run the race in November.
Texas Big Star Half Marathon and 5K April 13, 2019 We are all familiar with the phrase “Everything Is Bigger In Texas,” well this is the best way to describe the Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K. The Texas Big Star is a small family-friendly endurance race located in Frisco, Texas that leaves a “big” impression. The course is perfect for a first 5k or Half or a PR for the veteran runners. One lucky runner will receive free entry, follow me on IG: @ontherunwithkrista.
Murphy Half Marathon 10K and 5K May 5, 2019 Be a part of history by running this inaugural race to support the Kyle Kucauskas Educational Foundation. The USTAF certified course provides an excellent scenic route of Collin County, and the 10k and Half marathon runners will pass the epic Southfork Ranch, the setting of 80’s television series Dallas. (You might even see the ghost of JR Ewing).
I'm looking forward to this event and would love to see you on the pavement. Use discount code: KRISTA19 to receive $7 off.
