The Vital Challenge

I am gearing up for the holiday season in a new way by not waiting until the new year to set my fitness goals and just starting now, where I am. In an effort to “Health Up My Holidays” I opted for some healthier dishes on my Thanksgiving menu and focused on ways to reduce the stress. Now I have decided to get down to the nitty gritty and challenge myself (and you) to join me on this challenge to increase my energy and overall health with Vital Proteins.

Ok, so when I went to BlogFest this past July I got the opportunity to hear from several brands that I knew were going to dominate the health and fitness game. After falling in love with the samples we were sent home with, it was only a matter of time before I had to share with you guys how to get the most from your protein and how collagen (which I didn’t know was a protein until recently….just being honest) is key to maintaining and supporting your joints, hair, and nails. I don’t know about you guys but, it sounds like collagen is pretty important and if you don’t want to take my word for it the proof is in the pudding. Whole 30 definitely endorses Vital Proteins as a part of their program and the importance of adding collagen to your diet. I think that speaks volumes!

5 Collagen Fun Facts

-Collagen is the protein most found in our bodies.

-Collagen is great for your skin and is full of anti-aging properties that can truly make a difference in your overall appearance and health

-You can find a huge amount of collagen in bones which is why there has been an increase in the use of bone broth in the health community, as collagen has increased in popularity.

-Collagen can aid in creating ease for your digestive system. I mean, how many of us have a little extra cushion in our abdominal area and we know that it may be in direct correlation with the things going on internally? raises hand

-Collagen can seriously boost your metabolism and increase your energy levels which is something I can definitely use while chasing my two year old around the house.

So now what?

For the next two weeks beginning December 1st, 2016 I will be personally testing out 4 products from Vital Proteins to increase my collagen intake and see the benefits first hand by consuming them on a consistent basis. Make sure you are following me via my Instagram account and check out my insta-stories over the next two weeks to get in on the experience first hand!

The bottom line is this guys: some of us may have youth on our sides now, but there will come a time when we don’t. The older we get the harder it is to lose weight, adopt a healthy lifestyle, or just make serious changes in general. We have to be mindful of what we are putting into our temples, what we eat, what we drink and realize that nutrition and exercise is a major part having a life worth living. Let’s be proactive instead of reactive...shall we?!
