You Can't Outrun Your Mind Monsters

Running and physical activity in general have many benefits, not only for your physical health but also your mental health. In your brain, exercise stimulates chemicals that improve your overall mood and the parts of the brain responsible for memory and learning. But is that enough?

I myself used physical activity to heal from my postpartum depression after having P, so I know it works. The reality is that there is so much more we can encompass in our lives to take our healing and overall mindfulness to the next level. If this isn't your first time visiting the site, then you know that meditation is essential to my success as a mom, businesswoman, and full-time educator.  However, whenever I bring this technique up to my clients and friends, they are confused about where to start. Believe me, I get it and have been there before myself, which is why I relied heavily on guided meditation and specifically apps that combine both the physical and mental guidance that I needed.

We all suffer from "mind monsters," whether we realize it or not. You know those voices in your head that are always focused on creating a negative narrative in your mind, wanting you to believe that you are not enough. The ASICS Studio™ app challenges you to "Be Here Now" with ten guided meditations and workouts that challenge you to live in the present and conquer those negative emotions while making it a priority to #SweatITOut.

The ASICS Studio app recently created a place to do both. While the ASICS Studio™ is known for its workout programs that meet the need of any fitness level, you now have a mindfulness aspect that was missing before. Knowing that when training for a race or just overall better health, you can find on-demand meditations tailored toward a specific goal is so clutch. To truly "Live YOUR Fit," you have to take a more in-depth look at your mind, body, and soul--nourish the whole person.
